HOPE TAKES ACTION / FRED HUTCHINSON CANCER RESEARCH CENTER :: WEB SITE DESIGN, E-CARD DESIGN, ILLUSTRATION
“Hope Takes Action” is an HIV vaccine trial recruitment site operating on behalf of the HIV Vaccine Trials Network. Its purpose is to attract prospective study participants, to educate, and to help raise awareness and advocacy for HIV vaccine research. The site design is based on an established ad campaign and site architecture. Features on the site include a customized Contact form and e-Card offerings in a variety of layouts. A custom Twitter page was also designed to compliment the parent hvtn.org site.
REUSIES :: WEB SITE DESIGN, PACKAGE DESIGN, SHOPPING CART INSTALL/CUSTOMIZATION
ReUsies is a wonderful success story of 2 Seattle moms with a passion for “green” living. Their attractive, innovative reusable bags are designed to replace lunch snack/sandwich bags. They have enjoyed a great deal of news coverage (television, blogs, green publications, etc.) and have been approached by major retailers following their web site launch in May of 2009. Armed with no more than a business card, I designed, branded and built their web site, which included a customized Zen Cart installation (open source shopping cart application). I also designed a custom die cut tag for their point-of-sale presentation.
FRED HUTCHINSON CANCER RESEARCH CENTER / AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
Web site design, flash component and e-mail campaign for Colon-cancer awareness project. This project was a collaborative effort by Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center that enlisted local leaders and celebrities to de-stigmatize and promote colon-cancer screening for at-risk populations. The project featured a Risk Assessment test, local (KING-TV “Health Link”) television e-mail campaign, and flash introduction.
RENKOO :: ILLUSTRATIVE ICONS FOR "HAIKOO ZOO" APPLICATION
Fun food illustrations for the popular Facebook application, "Haikoo Zoo", developed by Bay area social networking firm Renkoo. Haikoo Zoo is an application that allows you to adopt, feed, dress and care for a selection of “virtual” pets. The selection of foods are used within the application to feed these pets. Foods range from ethnic, seasonal, corporate-branded and alternative gourmet.
TROUPE HIPNOTICA :: WEB SITE DESIGN, PROMOTIONS, APPAREL GRAPHICS
Web design, promotions and apparel graphics for Seattle’s Troupe Hipnotica tribal belly dance troupe. Site features include a gallery, event promotions, photo composites and online membership. In 2009, Troupe Hipnotica hosted their 2nd Annual “Cues & Tattoos” festival, which involved a number of promotions, a “sister” site and collaborative apparel design projects.
Focus Events is a successful Seattle-based corporate event and wedding coordinator. Our goal with this project was to target the savvy, budget-conscious corporate entity or bride-to-be. The logo is clean, smart, and appropriately neutral to appeal to a wide client base.
Weavecast is a popular podcast and textile arts blog created by author Syne Mitchell. The challenge with this project was to produce a symbol that would appeal to both knitters and weavers of all ages. Part of that challenge was to entice the knitting community to take interest in weaving. The pattern incorporated into the logo is recognized and used by both knitting and weaving communities.
